French Silk Pie (raw eggs)

Recipe card for French Silk Pie


YIELD: 8-12 servings of 8-9 inch pie

Ingredients

2 sticks butter
1 1/2 c sugar
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 tsp vanilla
4 cold eggs*
1 baked pie shell
1/2 c chopped nuts
Whipped cream

Directions

Beat butter in mixing bowl until fluffy. Add sugar gradually until creamed. Beat in chocolate and vanilla.

One egg at a time, beat in the eggs. Each egg should be beaten for 3 minutes at medium speed.

Turn mixture into pie shell. Chill until firm.

Top with whipped cream and nuts.

Note: You may be able to find pasteurized eggs. Alternatively, you may want to try the tofu-based French Silk.
